How can we explain to them that they need a Saviour without watering down the details? How can we keep their attention long enough to explain what the Bible is actually about? How can we be accurate, yet still take into account that they need simpler explanations?

„The Lamb“ is a book for children aged five to ten. This picture book captivates children with its colourful illustrations and takes them on a journey through the heart of the biblical message. The book begins with the creation of the universe and explains the most important biblical concepts: Who is God? What is God like? What is sin? Where does evil come from? Why do we need a Saviour? The book concludes with a clear explanation of Jesus' identity and his amazing achievement as our Saviour.

The book establishes a clear connection between Jesus and the Old Testament sacrificial lamb. Topics such as death are dealt with in an honest, straightforward manner. The vivid details surrounding the story of redemption are treated sensitively, but not watered down. At the end, the children are told who God is and what he did for humanity on the cross. It is a message of hope that every child should hear.

Features

Written for children: Suitable for all ages, but written for children aged five and over.

Fully illustrated: 50 full-colour pictures by the gifted artist Ian Mastin bring the story of the Gospel to life.
