Helping people to understand the gospel. Helping people to pass on the gospel.

GoodSeed's ministry is to equip others with helpful media that explains the gospel. We also provide training on how to develop a lifelong lifestyle as an ambassador of Jesus Christ.

GoodSeed provides tools for evangelism from Creation to Christ that help people understand the clear message of the gospel and give them the means to confidently share this good news with others. These resources are also designed for different age groups and worldviews so that you can understand the central message of the Bible regardless of your background.

Our vision at GoodSeed is that every person, regardless of worldview or age, understands the clear message of the gospel and is able to share this message with others.

How it all began

25 years among remote tribal peoples taught John Cross and his co-workers the following: If you explain the Bible to people continuously - starting with creation and ending with Christ - they learn the necessary basics to understand who the Creator God is and why Jesus Christ had to die and rise again. When the gospel is explained in this way, it makes deep sense. Many understood it and believed.

Travelling around the world, John eventually realised that many of the people he met had one thing in common with the tribal people. They also knew nothing about God and had no basis for understanding who Jesus Christ is.

For this reason, he wrote a book using the same biblical approach that had already proved so successful with the tribal peoples. A book that could simply be given as a gift or used to explain the gospel to people by means of a course.

After the book The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus was published in 1997 ( in English ), enquiries came in from all over the world: "Is the book also available in German? Or in French? Is there an audiobook version?" GoodSeed was founded in Canada to fulfil these requests.

We believe that every person around the world should have unfettered access to the central message of the Bible - the gospel of God's grace - and that every person should be equally free to reject or accept that message. By "free" we mean that a person can examine the Bible's claims and choose to trust or reject its message without feeling coerced or fearing for life or limb.
